Woman struck, hurt while walking dog on Commercial St

BOSTON, MA – A woman sustained injuries late Saturday morning when a car hit her along a major roadway in the North End neighborhood of Boston.

According to WCVB 5, the auto-pedestrian collision occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Commercial Street between Clark Street and Murphy Court. This is just southeast of Paul Revere Mall.

Police say the victim was walking her dog across Commercial when the car hit her. It’s not known if she was using a designated crosswalk when the accident happened.

Medics transported the woman to an area hospital with non-critical injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery.

The victim’s dog was not hurt in the crash.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with police. It’s unclear if they will face charges in connection to the event.

A full investigation is underway.
