Woman, baby hurt in auto-pedestrian crash at Waverly and Irving

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Framingham Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that injured a woman and a baby on Tuesday in the downtown area.

According to MetroWest Daily News, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. at Waverly Street and Irving Street, which is just south of Downtown Framingham Common.

Police say that a minivan struck a woman pushing a baby stroller in the intersection.

Medics transported the female pedestrian and the baby to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Both victims are expected to survive.

The driver involved in the crash did not sustain injuries and did stop to render aid and speak with authorities. They received a citation for their role in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
