Teen arrested for Revere hit-and-run that seriously hurt MSP officer

REVERE, MA – A Massachusetts State Police officer was seriously injured Monday when a teen riding a stolen motorcycle struck him in northeast Revere.

According to NBC 10 Boston, the violent collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. in the 200 block or Revere Beach Boulevard, which is just northeast of Wonderland Station.

Authorities say that Lieutenant Donald Bossi was standing near his vehicle outside of the A5 Revere Barracks for the Massachusetts State Police when a teen on a speeding motorcycle hit him. The teen fled the scene of the crash along with a friend on a moped.

Medics transported Lieutenant Bossi to an area hospital with multiple serious injuries, including a broken pelvis and lacerations to his arms and head. Bossi is expected to survive his injuries.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Akram Elmoukhtari, confessed his actions to state police and was arrested on multiple charges, including hit-and-run, theft, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

It is unclear if Elmoukhtari’s friend on the moped will face charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
