Pickup truck strikes, injures pedestrian at Winthrop and Cedar

FRAMINGHAM, MA – A 60-year-old man sustained injuries when a vehicle struck him last month in south-central Middlesex County, reports WHDH 7 News.

The accident happened the evening of Saturday, March 15th, at the intersection of Winthrop Street and Cedar Street in Framingham. This is about 22 miles southwest of Boston.

Police haven’t specified if the victim was crossing the road in a designated pedestrian area when a pickup truck hit him.

Medics transported the man to an area hospital with critical injuries. The victim has not been named publicly.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped to render aid and speak with authorities.

There’s no word yet regarding charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
