Pedestrian killed in Memorial Day weekend crash in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, MA – A 41-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Sunday night when a vehicle struck her along a busy roadway in south-central Middlesex County.

According to Patch, the collision occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Worcester Road between Crossing Boulevard and California Avenue in the city of Framingham, about 22 miles southwest of Boston.

Police say that 44-year-old Stewart Anderson struck Julie Stewart with his vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Stewart succumbed to her injuries after transport to an area hospital.

Authorities located and arrested Anderson, charging him with leaving the scene of an accident. It’s unclear if he will face additional charges in connection to the fatal crash.
