LOWELL, MA – A man sustained serious injuries Friday night when he crashed his electric bike in northeast Middlesex County, reports The Sun.
The accident happened just after 8 p.m. along Varnum Avenue between Bennington Terrace and Tower Drive in the city of Lowell, which is about 31 miles northwest of Boston.
Police haven’t shared any details about the collision except to say that no other vehicles were involved.
Medics airlifted the e-bike operator to a hospital in Boston where he is being treated for injuries to the head and face.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
