WESTON, MA – Several young people sustained injuries Wednesday in a school bus crash along the highway in south-central Middlesex County, reports WHDH 7.
The two-vehicle accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near exit 39 on the Yankee Division Highway in Weston. This is approximately 16 miles west of Boston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a school bus and a sedan collided along the highway.
Medics transported eight students from the bus to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear if anyone in the car was hurt in the crash.
Both vehicles were sufficiently damaged to require towing from the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
