Injuries reported in pedestrian crash on Bedford Rd in Abington

ABINGTON, MA – One person went to the hospital Friday after a vehicle struck them along a major roadway in northwest Plymouth County.

According to WCVB 5, the collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Bedford Street between Summit Road and Randolph Street in North Abington. This is about 19 miles southeast of Boston.

It’s not yet clear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk they were struck.

Authorities have not commented on the severity of the pedestrian’s injuries.

The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

A full investigation is underway.
