Fatality reported in Rockland construction accident on North Ave

ROCKLAND, MA – One man died, and another sustained injuries Monday in a construction accident at an apartment complex in north-central Plymouth County, reports Boston 25 News.

The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at the Brentwood Arms apartment building at 23 North Avenue in Rockland, which is about 22 miles southeast of Boston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, two workers at the site fell from a boom lift.

One of the workers, who has only been identified thus a far as a 72-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Medics transported the other worker to a hospital in South Weymouth for unknown injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
