Shortly before 9:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a major accident along Russells Mills Road on the south side of Dartmouth, which is about an hour south of Boston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control of his Hyundai Sonata and crashed. Response crews found the driver in the roadway, indicating that an ejection may have occurred.
Authorities pronounced the victim deceased at the scene, identifying him as Nikoles Joseph of Dartmouth.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
