BROOKLINE, MA – A motorist left the scene of a fiery crash in northeast Norfolk County on Friday morning, reports NBC 10 Boston.
Just after 5:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Aspinwall Avenue and Toxteth Street in Brookline, about six miles southwest of Boston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a car left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to ignite.
Officials located the driver later that morning and transported them to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
A full investigation is underway, and no charges have been filed thus far.
