DRACUT, MA – According to Boston 25, a driver struck and killed a man riding a motor scooter at 189 Merrimack Avenue on June 17.
Michael Lacrosse, 43, was riding a motor scooter west on Merrimack Avenue when he strayed into the eastbound lanes and struck an oncoming car operated by a 50-year-old woman around 3:44 p.m.
A bystander was performing CPR and Lacrosse by the time first responders arrived. They transported Lacrosse to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene.
The Dracut Police Department is investigating the incident.
