The accident occurred around 9 p.m. in the area of Brook Street and Janet Avenue in southeast Tewksbury, which is approximately 24 miles northwest of Boston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a 56-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his bike, crashed near the intersection, and was likely ejected.
Medics airlifted the biker to an area hospital with critical injuries.
There were no passengers on the bike at the time of the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.
A full investigation is underway.
