MANSFIELD, MA – A man and a woman were injured Thursday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in north-central Bristol County, reports NBC 10 Boston.
Shortly before 10 a.m., emergency crews responded to an injury accident Oakland Street near Curtin Street in the city of Mansfield, about 32 miles southwest of Boston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle, entered the sidewalk area, and struck a male pedestrian and a female pedestrian.
Medics airlifted the male victim to an area hospital with injuries to the head. The female went to a hospital in Boston with unspecified injuries.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with police. It’s unclear if they will face charges.
A full investigation is underway.
