HANOVER, MA – Several people were hurt Thursday in a two-vehicle collision that happened in north-central Plymouth County, reports Boston 25 News.
Around 11:30 a.m., emergency crews from at least eight local communities responded to a major accident near the intersection of Webster Street, or Route 123, and Main Street in north Hanover. This is about 23 miles southeast of Boston.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the crash, which they say involved a car and a transport van. Both vehicles sustained damage, and the van rolled onto its side following the impact.
Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist at least 13 injured parties. It’s unclear how many victims required hospitalization.
Officials closed Webster Street between Main and Juniper while teams assisted the victims and crews worked to clear the scene.
