BRIDGEWATER, MA – A multi-vehicle collision in northwest Plymouth County injured three people, including a police officer, on Wednesday morning, reports NBC 10 Boston.
The accident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. on I-495 near MA-24 in southwest Bridgewater, which is approximately 31 miles southeast of Boston.
The investigation thus far indicates that a car crashed into the back of a police cruiser, which then rear-ended another vehicle.
Medics transported all three drivers to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The collision caused delays along I-495 and a ramp closure at MA-24 while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
