Bedford teen struck, killed on bicycle in Stoneham

STONEHAM, MA – A teen boy sustained fatal injuries Friday afternoon in a bicycle crash in east-central Middlesex County, reports CBS News.

The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Oak Street in Stoneham, which is approximately 11 miles northwest of Boston. Authorities haven’t yet provided a cross street for the collision.

The preliminary investigation indicates that 13-year-old Parker Robles was riding his bike along Oak Street when he collided with a Toyota Corolla.

The boy died after transport to an area hospital.

The 73-year-old driver of the Toyota stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges are pending at this time, as the investigation continues.
