MANSFIELD, MA – Several people were hurt Sunday in a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in north-central Bristol County, reports WPRI.
The injury accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the southbound side of I-95 in Mansfield. Police have not provided a mile marker or cross street for the crash.
While authorities haven’t disclosed the cause of the collision, they say that six vehicles were involved and that one of the cars overturned.
Medics transported five people to area hospitals with injuries of unknown severity.
Officials closed at least one southbound lane of I-95 in the area of the crash for almost two hours while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
