3 hospitalized after fiery collision at Stoughton gas station

STOUGHTON, MA – Three people were hurt Wednesday in a three-vehicle collision that caused one car to hit a gas pump in Norfolk County, reports WHDH 7.

The accident happened just prior to 6 a.m. on Sharon Street near Bay Road in northwest Stoughton, which is around 21 miles southwest of Boston.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the initial collision. They say that one of the three cars involved ultimately struck a gas pump at a nearby gas station, causing it to catch fire.

Officials closed Sharon Street in the area of the accident while crews worked to put out the fire and assist the victims.

Medics transported three people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
