AGAWAM, MA – A 26-year-old woman died late last month in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Hampden County, reports WWLP 22.
The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 24th, at the intersection of Suffield Street and Adams Street in the city of Agawam. This is about 94 miles southwest of Boston.
Police haven’t yet released any details about the crash except to say that it involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. It’s not clear what caused the two vehicles to collide.
One woman succumbed to her injuries after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not disclosed her name to the public.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the collision.
Drivers likely faced delays in the area of Suffield and Adams while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
