1 killed, 1 arrested in Wareham hit-and-run on Cranberry Hwy

WAREHAM, MA – A hit-and-run collision claimed the life of a 25-year-old motorcyclist in south-central Plymouth County on Friday.

According to NBC 10 Boston, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 5 p.m. along the Cranberry Highway, or MA-28, between Cabral Way and Monteiro Street in the city of Wareham, about an hour southeast of Boston.

So far, police haven’t shared any details about the accident except to say that the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and died after transport to two area hospitals. Authorities identified the victim as Jordan Hansen.

The second driver involved in the collision left the scene without stopping to render aid.

Police found and arrested the suspect, identified as 67-year-old Raymond Cardoza, on multiple charges, including OUI, manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

A full investigation is underway.
