BROCKTON, MA – A single-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in northwest Plymouth County seriously injured one person Wednesday night, reports WCVB 5.
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Cary and Provost Streets in Brockton. This is south of Calvary Cemetery and northwest of East Middle School.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a white sedan was speeding when they left the roadway and struck at least three utility poles. The impact of the collision threw the driver from the vehicle.
Medics airlifted the victim to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
There were no passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
