Stolen Porsche crashes into Intellia Therapeutics, injuring 1

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Police arrested a Roslindale man Monday afternoon after he crashed a stolen vehicle into a biotechnology company in Cambridge.

According to CBS News, the accident happened shortly before 1 p.m. at Intellia Therapeutics on Albany Street on the south side of the city, about six miles northwest of Boston.

Officials say that 57-year-old David Powell stole a Porsche in Boston and evaded an attempted stop by police in northwest Cambridge. Powell was likely speeding when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the business.

One person inside the building required hospitalization for serious injuries.

Powell fled the scene but was located in the area soon after, hospitalized, and arrested.

A full investigation is underway.
