NORTHBRIDGE, MA – One person died Wednesday night in an auto-pedestrian crash along a major roadway in southeast Worcester County.
According to Telegram & Gazette, the victim was walking along Providence Road between Prunier Street and School Park in Northbridge when a vehicle hit them. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been named by police, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
