Pickup vs. motorcycle collision on Rte 6 in Swansea injures 2

SWANSEA, MA – Serious injuries were reported over the weekend in connection to a two-vehicle collision in west-central Bristol County.

According to WPRI 12, the collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday along Route 6 near Sears Road in the city of Swansea. This is about 52 miles southwest of Boston.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the accident, which they say involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle.

Medics transported the male operator of the motorcycle and a passenger from the pickup truck to an area hospital. The biker sustained critical injuries, while the other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck did not require hospitalization.

Motorists likely encountered delays along Route 6 Saturday evening while crews gathered evidence and attended to the injured parties.
