On his web site attorney Smith provides great information on dog bites. Here are some tips to avoid a dog bite and/or dog attack, and I am aware that some dog owners may scoff at these ideas:
– Never approach an unfamiliar dog
– Never run from a dog and scream
– Stay still when an unfamiliar dog comes up to you
– If knocked over by a dog, roll into a ball and lie still
– Do not look a dog in the eye
– Never leave a child or infant alone with a dog
– Do not play aggressive games with your dog, such as wrestling
