The Importance of Notice in Slip and Fall Cases

Slip and fall accidents occur with alarming frequency in Massachusetts.  Slip and fall accidents also can cause very serious injuries.  It is extremely important following your slip and fall accident to put the relevant property owner on notice that you slipped and fell on his/her property.  Do this as soon as possible.  Include in the notice your name, home address, date and time of the accident, and a clear description of the place where you fell.  Send this notice to the property owner by registered mail, return receipt requested to verify that you did send the notice, and that the notice was received by the relevant property owner.
