Five Steps to Prevent Dog Bites

As discussed quite a bit on this blog recently, dog bites cause people serious injuries, including but not limited to, broken bones, scarring, and disfigurement.  In order to prevent or at least minimize the occurrence of your dog biting and/or attacking someone, here are five suggestions:

1.     Start training early;

2.     Socialize young puppies;

3.     Use positive training methods

       (negative methods can cause aggressive behavior);

4.     Exhibit positive leadership;

5.     and Exercise your dog.

These five suggestions I found in a great article appearing on southcoasttoday.com.  Click here for the full article.

And remember, dog bites are more prevalent and serious than most people imagine.  Information is probably your best defense against dog bites and dog attacks.
