Do Not Sign Lost Wage and Medical Authorizations from the Insurance Company

Following your Massachusetts accident the insurance company that insures the person(s) that caused your injuries will ask you to sign some authorizations.  These authorizations usually are authorizations for the insurance company to obtain your lost wage information from your employer, and an authorization to obtain your medical records and bills.  Do not sign these authorizations.  You have no legal obligation to sign these documents and besides, why make the job of the insurance company any easier?  The interests of the insurance company are directly adverse to yours, and there is no sense in helping them out if you are not required to.

"Chris helped me with an extremely difficult time in my life due to a car accident. Even after the settlement, he continued to advocate for me when I was receiving collections notices that were not valid. You can feel assured he will do a great job." Angela C.
