The days of requiring motorcycle operators to wear helmets in Massachusetts may soon be coming to an end. The current law which requires all motorcycle operators to wear helmets may be soon amended to only require those operators under the age of 21 to wear helmets. I for one am opposed to this law. Motorcycle accidents often cause very serious and sometimes deadly injuries. Helmets make those who ride motorcycles less prone to trauma to the head. In my view all motorcycle riders should be required to wear helmets, regardless of their age.
