Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (MTA) Settles “Banana Truck” Accident

The MTA has settled a three-year dispute with JDS Refrigeration Transport stemming from an accident caused by a vehicle owned by JDS. The JDS vehicle – carrying bananas at the time – was a tractor trailer that crashed and caused extensive damage in the I-93 Tunnel beneath South Station, located in downtown Boston.
