Van and motorcycle collide at US-20 and Putnam Rd, killing 1

CHARLTON, MA – One person died Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in south-central Worcester County, reports WWLP 22.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of US-20 and Putnam Road in Worcester, which is about 46 miles southwest of Boston.

Police say that a westbound 2022 Kia Carnival minivan collided with an eastbound 2025 Kawasaki ZR900 motorcycle when the driver of the van made a left turn onto H Putnam Road Extension.

The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified by authorities, died after transport to an area hospital.

Nobody in the minivan sustained injuries in the accident.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
