Injuries reported in wrong-way crash on MA-128 in Danvers

DANVERS, MA – Emergency crews responded Thursday night to a wrong-way collision along the highway in southern Essex County, reports WCVB 5.

The accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on MA-128, or the Yankee Division Highway, in Danvers, which is around 22 miles northeast of Boston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound vehicle entered the northbound side of the highway and impacted with two northbound cars.

Medics transported two of the three drivers to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Motorists likely encountered delays along MA-128 in the Danvers and Beverly area Thursday night while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
