Two Teenagers Killed, One Hospitalized After New Bedford Car Crash

NEW BEDFORD, MA – Two teenagers wre killed and another was hospitalized after a violent car accident on Route 140 early Sunday morning, CBS News reports.

According to authorities, the crash happened in the southbound lanes of Route 140 just before 2 am. Responding officers found a 2019 Honda Civic with significant damage to its passenger side on the side of the road. Two people, a 17-year-old boy from West Yarmouth and a 15-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle.

The 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The girl was rushed to an area hospital but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old boy from Dartmouth was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
