Motorcycle and semi collide on Rte 1 in E Wrentham, killing 1

WRENTHAM, MA – A two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler killed one person this past Sunday afternoon in southwest Norfolk County.

According to NBC 10 Boston, the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. on the northbound side of Route 1, or Washington Street, near Crocker Pond in Wrentham, which is about 31 miles southwest of Boston.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the accident or the manner in which the bike and the semi impacted.

The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified publicly, died at the scene of the crash.

No other injuries have been reported thus far.

Officials closed one lane of Route 1 for almost five hours while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
