Franklin motorcyclist killed in 2-vehicle crash in NE Walpole

WALPOLE, MA – A 25-year-old Franklin man sustained fatal injuries Monday in a two-vehicle collision in central Norfolk County, reports WCVB 5.

Shortly before 7 a.m., emergency teams responded to a major accident at the intersection of East Street and Tanglewood Road in the city of Walpole, which is about 25 miles southwest of Boston.

Police haven’t shared any details about the crash except to say that it involved a motorcycle and an SUV. There’s no word yet regarding what caused the two vehicles to collide.

The motorcyclist, identified as Spencer Reid, died after transport to an area hospital.

It’s unclear if anyone in the SUV sustained injuries.

Drivers likely faced delays in the area of East and Tanglewood while crews worked at the scene.
