Fatality reported in crash at Stoneville Reservoir in Auburn

AUBURN, MA – A 19-year-old woman died early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in south-central Worcester County, reports Mass Live.

The accident happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Rochdale Street near the Stoneville Reservoir in Auburn, which is about 46 miles southwest of Boston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the victim lost control over her vehicle, causing it to overturn and crash into the reservoir. The vehicle then became partially submerged.

The driver, identified as Finleigh Dragon, succumbed to her injuries after transport to an area hospital.

It does not appear that there were any other passengers in the car at the time of the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
