Customer hurt when Subaru hits Brockton’s Go Smoke Shop

BROCKTON, MA – One person sustained injuries Sunday when a vehicle crashed into a smoke shop in northwest Plymouth County, reports Boston 25 News.

Sometime in the evening, emergency teams responded to a collision at the Go Smoke Shop at 743 Belmont Street in Brockton, which is approximately 23 miles southeast of Boston.

Police say that an unlicensed driver blamed brake problems after driving through the front of the shop in her Subaru.

Medics transported a customer in the shop to an area hospital with leg injuries caused by the accident.

An employee in the building at the time of the crash was not hurt, nor was the 43-year-old driver, who will receive a citation for driving without a license.

The Go Smoke Shop will remain closed for the immediate future while repairs are arranged.

A full investigation is underway.
