1 airlifted following rollover crash on US-202 in Granby

GRANBY, MA – At least one person sustained injuries Sunday in a single-vehicle collision in southeastern Hampshire County, reports Western Mass News.

The accident occurred in the afternoon along US-202, or West State Street, in the city of Granby, which is approximately 88 miles southwest of Boston.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control of their vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn into a ditch.

Medics airlifted one occupant of the vehicle to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

It’s unclear if there were other people in the car and if any of them sustained injuries in the crash.

Motorists likely experienced delays along West State Street Sunday afternoon while emergency teams assisted the victim, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
