Fatality announced in pedestrian crash at Silver, Warren

RANDOLPH, MA – A 57-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in an auto-pedestrian accident in eastern Norfolk County.

According to Boston 25 News, the crash happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. at Silver Street and Warren Street in Randolph, which is approximately 16 miles south of Boston.

Police say that a vehicle struck Ruth Samuels in the intersection. It’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk when the accident happened.

The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.

Samuels succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

No charges have been filed so far.

A full investigation is underway.
