LONGMEADOW, MA – At least four people sustained injuries Tuesday afternoon in a rollover collision involving two-vehicles in south-central Hampden County.
According to Western Mass News, the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. on the southbound side of I-91 in the city of Longmeadow, which is just north of the Connecticut state line.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause the of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted. They say that one of the two vehicles sustained significant damage after overturning and travelling down an embankment.
Medics transported four people to area hospitals with non-critical injuries.
There’s no word yet about the conditions of the drivers at the time of the accident.
The crash likely created delays along the interstate in Longmeadow while emergency teams helped the victims and worked to clear the wreckage.
The investigation is ongoing.
