NORTHAMPTON, MA – A two-vehicle crash along a major roadway in central Hampshire County injured two people Thursday, reports Western Mass News.
The injury accident occurred in the afternoon along North King Street, or Route 5, in the city of Northampton. This is about two hours west of Boston.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the collision. Photos taken at the scene show a red SUV and a silver SUV with heavy front-end damage.
Two people sustained minor injuries in the crash; it’s unclear if either of them required hospitalization.
Officials referenced a small fire in one of the cars and an engine leak. City employees responded to the scene to help clear a fuel spill from the roadway.
