BOLTON, MA – A 59-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle collision in northeast Worcester County, reports Boston 25 News.
The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Wattaquadock Hill Road and Old Bay Road in Bolton, which is about 42 miles northwest of Boston.
Police say that a southbound Honda SUV collided with a westbound Ford F-350 pickup truck in the intersection. It’s unclear which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the crash.
The driver of the SUV died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.
The driver of the pickup truck was unhurt in the crash.
The collision likely caused delays at Wattaquadock Hill and Old Bay while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
