Motorcyclist injured in 2-vehicle collision in SW Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, MA – A 70-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries Tuesday in a major collision in south-central Bristol County, reports 1420 WBSM.

The two-vehicle crash occurred shortly before noon along Division Road between Slades Corner Road and Cross Road in southwest Dartmouth. This is about an hour south of Boston.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the accident, which they say involved a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Cobalt.

Medics transported the motorcycle operator, identified as a Westport man, to a New Bedford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old driver of the sedan did not sustain injuries in the collision.
