BOSTON, MA – A passenger went to the hospital, and a driver faced arrest earlier this month when a car crashed into a business in southwest Boston.
According to WHDH 7, the accident happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 12th, at Warren and Maywood Streets in the Roxbury neighborhood.
Police say that the driver of a silver SUV lost control of his vehicle while abusing a passenger and hit the front of Dollar Country at 384 Warren Street.
The passenger sustained injuries of unknown severity in both the attack and subsequent wreck and went to the hospital for treatment.
It’s unclear if anyone in the store was hurt.
Authorities arrested the driver of the vehicle, identified as 38-year-old Wilther Rodrigues, on multiple charges, including assault and battery, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and property destruction.
