MEDFORD, MA – Injuries have been reported in connection to a crash involving at least two vehicles along the interstate in southeast Middlesex County.
According to Boston 25 News, the accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday on the southbound side of I-93 near exit 23 in Medford. This is approximately six miles northwest of Boston.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the collision or the number of vehicles involved. They say that one person was thrown from their vehicle and that three people required hospitalization for injuries sustained in the crash.
Officials closed I-93 in the area of the wreck while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene. All lanes had re-opened by around 10 a.m.
